So since I didn't really have much else to do, I thought that I would start this weekly blog thing; where every week I would write up what's happening with things in my life, as well as keep followers up to date on projects that I am working on. I don't know how long this will last but let's see how it goes!
So after I finished my first animation (make sure to check it out if you haven't done so) I surprisingly received quite a few positive reviews, so for one thing I am working on another animation. Not gonna say what it is for the moment (as I'm not too sure myself) but I will keep those interested up to date.
I am also slowly putting together a bunch of old tracks that you will soon be able to listen to on Newgrounds. Although they're not the greatest songs/tracks in the world, I would appreciate if you gave them a listen in your free time. That would mean a lot to me.
I am also working as part of collaborations with other artists here on Newgrounds. Hopefully sometime in the future you will be able to see me in other people's great works so stay tuned to that!
Weekly Feature: The Pillows
This week I would like to introduce this awesome Japanese band called "The Pillows". I've listened to these guys for a while and they are absolutely brilliant. They play alternate rock/indie rock music and even if you don't understand Japanese , I just know that you altern rock fans out there will love them. Some notable tracks that I personally recommend are "Blues Drive Monster", "Funny Bunny" and "Hybrid Rainbow" but of course there are heaps more!
Right now I'm in the middle of my University/College break so I have quite a lot of time on my hands. I've mostly been watching a shitload of anime for the past couple of weeks...
...I should probably find myself a job...
So like I was saying in my last news post (if people actually read those things), then you would know that I just finished my first flash animation!(yaaay!)
It's called "Shinkiro" so make sure to check it out here and make sure to vote high so it doesn't get blammed! Also, tell me what you think about it; comments are always appreciated!
So I'd like to announce of upcoming events that I will be taking part in.
Firstly, there will be more music on the way: right now I'm basically uploading all my old material that I wrote before I started Newgrounds. But I have recently started learning FL Studios so hopefully I'll be able to produce some new material soon!
Secondly, I have been invited to join some collabs with some great animators, artists and others on Newgrounds so you might see me in some of those! We won't know when they'll be out but hopefully you'll see me in the ''collaborators'' section (that is, if they decide to credit me... which I hope they do lol).
And lastly, I am currently working on a short animation (about 2 minutes) that I will soon upload here. Now I have absolutely zero experience when it comes to animating but I figured, ''since Newgrounds is mainly a site for animations, why not make my own??''. It is basically going to be a short story that uses one of my old tracks as a backpiece (basically a really crappy looking music video, of sorts). So don't expect something too fantastic (but don't forget to upvote it so it doesn't get blammed ;))
So it's been a little under a week since I made my account, and amazingly I already have 4 fans.
That's just awesome.
And some more great news.
After promoting that I was interested in doing some collaborations with some folks on Newgrounds, I've already been approached by about 3 different users asking for, not my music, but my art.
Which is cool, but I'm a little worried since I see myself more as musician than an artist.
But I'm not complaining.
In fact, I'm feeling pretty happy right now.
So you can look forward to seeing me in some Flash animations and games soon.
Oh Newgrounds... this is why I love you...
My name is NebulousDawn.
I make music for a hobby.
It's mostly instrumental stuff.
If you need music for games, movies and whatnot, then feel free to use my music.
I'm also interested in collaborations.
So feel free to talk to me.
Don't be shy.
I don't bite...hard.
